Goodbye Christmas

It's official - Christmas is most definitely over.

Glitter covered, pine cone scratched and a temper tantrum, and the Christmas Tree is back in it's box. This Christmas is the first one in my own flat. Technically I still spent Christmas with my family in our family home but it was the first time I could decorate a tree for myself.

The day Ben and I went shopping for decorations is definitely one of my favourite days of 2012. We found local boutiques and picked out shabby chic style decorations and a few Yankee Candles for good measure. Each decoration was wrapped carefully in pretty scented paper and brown paper bags. I love little touches like that. It felt like a mini christmas unwrapping them and placing them on the tree. A stark contrast to Bens black tree and home bargains decorations last year!

The Wooden Star is my favourite. This one we saw, loved and walked away. 10 minutes later Ben informed me we just had to go back and get it. No objections here.

The decorations are now tucked safely away in a converse box ready for Christmas 2013.

  1. It's so sad to say goodbye to Christmas decor! My house looks so bare now
